Brioche French toast with caramelised pineapple and pomegranate

Caramelised pineapple :
1 whole pineapple
20g butter
2 tbsp honey
1 sachet CULINAT organic vanilla sugar

Brioche French toast :
8 slices of brioche
2 eggs
2 teaspoons CULINAT organic vanilla sugar
250g milk

Finishing :
Vanilla ice cream
One pomegranate

A classic snack, French toast is a very well-known and quick recipe. But have you ever tried brioche French toast ? Softer and more gourmet than French toast, you’ll soon fall under the spell of brioche French toast ! We are offering you a very gourmet recipe for a more elaborate dessert: brioche French toast with caramelised pineapple and pomegranate, to be enjoyed with a scoop of ice cream.

Préparation :

Prepare the caramelised pineapple :

Cut the pineapple into slices, removing the core. Heat the butter with the honey and vanilla sugar in a non-stick frying pan until the mixture caramelises. Then add the pineapple slices and caramelise for 5 minutes on each side. Put it to one side.

Preparing the brioche French toast :

Beat the eggs with the vanilla sugar and milk. Heat the pan with a little butter. Dip the brioche slices one by one in the egg, sugar and milk mixture and brown them over medium heat for a few minutes on each side.

On the plates, place 2 slices of brioche French toast + 2 slices of caramelised pineapple and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Sprinkle with pomegranate. Serve immediately.
